Aspinwall family tree

• William ( b1796-8)
  William was born at Lydiate, Lancashire and married Mary b 1801 at St Helens. They had 5 children: John b1820, James b1821, Ann b1826, Margaret b 1826 and Mary b 1831. They were all born in Lydiate near Ormskirk, Lancashire. William died in 1873 aged about 77.


• Mary (1831)
• The 1851 Census shows that William Snape, a farm labourer lived next door to the Aspinwall's on Hough Lane, Lydiate. Mary was 22 years old and William 15.
• By 1861 they had married and were living with the Aspinwall's with their children: Robert aged 4, Margaret Ann aged 1 and Mary 10 months. William was an agricultural labourer on William Aspinwall's farm..
• The 1871 Census shows William Aspinwall had retired and William Snape was head of the household as a farmer of 25 acres with Mary as a farmer's wife. They lived at Holly House Green, Aughton, Lancashire.
  
• By the 1881 Census young Mary Snape had left home to become a domestic servant in West Derby where she later married Benjamin Hagan.
